According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the fourth quarter of 2021, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 79% while imports of services fell by 23% year on year. In 2021 as a whole, exports of services grew by 47% and imports by 28% compared to 2020.

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2022, Estonia’s exports of goods increased by 35% and imports by 31% compared to March 2021. Compared to the first quarter of last year, exports grew by 30% and imports by 34%. In March and in the first quarter as a whole, trade was primarily boosted by the increased exports and imports of mineral fuels and electricity.

According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2024, exports of goods decreased by 11% and imports by 13% compared with January 2023. Exports of goods amounted to about 1.4 billion and imports to 1.5 billion euros at current prices. The trade deficit was 122 million euros, which is 60 million euros less than in January last year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2020, compared to October 2019, the exports of goods increased by 10% and imports decreased by 5%. Of the total exports, the goods of Estonian origin accounted for 75%. Exports to non-EU countries increased by 38%, while exports to EU countries decreased by 2%.
