According to Statistics Estonia, in 2017, the number of passengers served by Estonian transport enterprises remained at the same level compared to the previous year. Carriage of goods decreased in road transport, but increased in rail transport.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2018, there were approximately 11,400 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. Compared to the 2nd quarter of 2018, the number of job vacancies remained at the same level. However, compared to the 3rd quarter of 2017, the number of job vacancies decreased by 10%. The number of job vacancies has exceeded 10,000 since the 1st quarter of 2017.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2010 the gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 3.1% compared to the previous year. The GDP began to grow compared to the previous year gradually since the 2nd quarter and in the 4th quarter the GDP increased by 6.7% according to the first estimates.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2020, the labour force participation rate in Estonia was 71.7%, the employment rate was 68.1%, and the unemployment rate was 5%. These indicators do not yet reflect the negative impact of the emergency situation on the Estonian labour market.
