According to Statistics Estonia, over 2,000 persons have been enumerated in the pilot Census of the 2011 Population and Housing Census (PHC 2011). The population of Rae rural municipality have participated the most in electronic census that is going on until the mid-February.

Statistics Estonia has organised public procurement for the purchase of 2,332 laptops which are going to be used in the conduct of the Population and Housing Census starting in December this year. This year the growth of production has mainly influenced by the increase in external demand, since domestic market has slightly livened up only during the last months.

Tea Vassiljeva, analyst at Statistics Estonia, noted that the unemployment rate fell by 0.2 percentage points compared with the second quarter. “The number of the unemployed was 56,300 in the third quarter, and it has been slowly declining since the beginning of the year, but there were still 1,500 more unemployed persons than in the third quarter of 2023,” she said.
