According to Statistics Estonia, in 2012, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 887 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 5.34 euros. Compared to 2011, the average monthly gross wages and salaries grew 5.7% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries 6.0%.

According to Statistics Estonia, at the beginning of the academic year of 2010/2011, 69,113 students were enrolled in higher education in Estonia, 128 students more than in the previous year. 1,282 foreign students from 62 countries are studying in Estonian universities. According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2012, exports of goods from Estonia decreased by 1% but imports increased by 2% at current prices compared to March of the previous year. Since January this year, both exports and imports have increased each month compared to the previous month.
