According to Statistics Estonia, over 2,000 persons have been enumerated in the pilot Census of the 2011 Population and Housing Census (PHC 2011). The population of Rae rural municipality have participated the most in electronic census that is going on until the mid-February.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2011, 32,486 purchase-sale transactions of real estate in the total value of 1.5 billion euros were notarised. During the last two years the number of transactions of real estate market has increased.
