According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, in 2012 the gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 3.2% compared to the previous year. In the 4th quarter of 2012 compared to the same quarter of 2011, the GDP grew by 3.7%.

According to Statistics Estonia, 3.6 million domestic and foreign tourists stayed in the accommodation establishments of Estonia in 2018, i.e. 1% more than in 2017. The number of domestic tourists increased and the number of foreign tourists decreased.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were nearly 10,600 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 4th quarter of 2017. Compared to the previous quarter, when the number of job vacancies was at its highest in recent years, in the 4th quarter, the number of job vacancies decreased 17%. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2016, the number of job vacancies increased also 17%.

According to Statistics Estonia, 14,822 persons immigrated to and 13,792 persons emigrated from Estonia in 2016. Immigration exceeded emigration for the second year. Most of the migrants were Estonian citizens, but their net migration was negative.
In January the exports of goods increased 11%

According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2010 compared to the same month of the previous year, the exports of goods increased for the first time during the 14 months. Imports decreased 2%.
Construction volumes increased in 2016

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2016 the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to 2.1 billion euros, which was 3% more than in 2015. The construction volumes increased after two years of decline.
