According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the second quarter of 2023, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 8% and imports by 2% at current prices compared with the same quarter of 2022. Sales of services to non-residents totalled 2.9 billion euros and purchases of services from non-residents amounted to 2.2 billion euros.

There were over 11,000 job vacancies in the first quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2023, there were 11,461 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. This is 12% less than in the same quarter of 2022. Over 6,000 persons left their job at the initiative of the employer.

In February, the producer price index of industrial output rose by 0.8% compared to the previous month

In February 2022, the producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, increased by 0.8% compared to January 2022 and by 26.3% compared to February 2021.

Briefing session on the updated Intrastat questionnaire

Foreign trade statistics are on the brink of changes. Our goal is to start reducing the administrative burden. In order to do that, we need to first introduce some changes in our existing foreign trade questionnaire INTRASTAT (dispatches and arrivals). These changes will allow the transition to SIMSTAT, i.e. single flow collection, starting from 2025. The briefing session gives information about filling in the updated questionnaire as well as creating related IT solutions. Exports and imports of services were at the same level in the first quarter

According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the first quarter of 2021, the exports of services grew by 2% and imports of services by 51% year on year. Estonian economic entities exported and imported services for 1.6 billion euros. The imports of services increased mainly on account of growth in telecommunications, computer and information services.

Metodoloogiline teejuht" ("Making sense of the datafied world - a methodological guide"). 38 authors contributed to the publication, which was edited by Anu Masso, Katrin Tiidenberg and Andra Siibak. The recognition of best infographic was given to " Õendustöötajate ambulatoorsed vastuvõtud ja koduvisiidid" ("Out-patient consultations and home visits of nursing staff"). Its authors are Viktoria Kirpu and Eva Anderson from the National Institute for Health Development.
