Census results show that 243 different mother tongues are spoken in Estonia. Estonian is spoken as a mother tongue by 67% and as a foreign language by 17% of the population. Therefore, a total of 84% of the population speaks Estonian.

International students and graduates continue to contribute more in taxes to the Estonian economy

According to Statistics Estonia, in the academic year 2020/2021, international students and graduates in Estonia paid more than ever before in labour taxes: a total of 16 million euros. At the same time, the number of international students was smaller, while the number of international graduates continued to rise. Growth of industrial production slowed down in April

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2022, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 3.8% at constant prices compared to April 2021. Output increased in two of the three industrial sectors: by 3.7% in manufacturing and by 9.6% in electricity production. In mining, output fell by 13.0%.
