According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2014, exports of goods increased by 7% and imports by 9% at current prices compared to September of the previous year. The increase in exports and imports was mostly influenced by the trade of electrical equipment and raw materials and products of chemical industry. Over the nine months of 2014, exports and imports declined by 3% compared to the same period of 2013.
According to Statistics Estonia, there were 7,300 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 1st quarter of 2015. The number of job vacancies increased by 0.6% compared to the previous quarter and by 1.3% compared to the 1st quarter of 2014.
According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 8.5% in the 1st quarter of 2011 compared to the same quarter in the previous year. The GDP growth has gradually accelerated since the 2nd quarter of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, there were 7,600 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2012 and their number decreased by 2.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2014 compared to October of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 6% at constant prices. In September the retail sales increased 5% compared to the same month of the previous year, while in October the retail sales growth accelerated a little.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2014 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries decreased 8%. The construction volumes have decreased for four quarters in a row.
According to Statistics Estonia, there were 8,600 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2014. The number of job vacancies increased by 0.3% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2013 and by 12.7% compared to the previous quarter.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2008 exports of high-tech (HT) goods from Estonia totalled 4.6 billion kroons at current prices and imports of high-tech goods to Estonia amounted to 9.8 billion kroons. The share of HT goods in Estonia’s trade has significantly decreased during the last years.
