In 2017, the social protection field was mostly characterised by growth trends: the average old-age pension exceeded 400 euros, labour market measures are being used more and there is a greater variety of them, the expenditure on family allowances increased and new allowances for large families were added. The recommendation of Statistics Estonia is to complete the e-census now, instead on waiting until the end of January when the system load will be higher and could make the enumeration process slower. In the first two weeks, more than 310,000 persons have already been enumerated in the e-census.
