According to the first estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia decreased by 15.1% in the 1st quarter of 2009 compared to the same quarter in the previous year.

According to the final results of the 2013 Farm Structure Survey, there were 19,200 agricultural holdings in Estonia, of which nearly 1,000 largest ones produce more than three-quarters of standard output, announces Statistics Estonia. Employment and labour force participation remained high throughout 2017, reaching the highest levels in 20 years. The number of inactive persons continued to decline.
