According to Statistics Estonia, 64%, i.e. the majority of the value added generated in the Estonian economy in 2016 was created in Harju county. The share of the service sector continues to grow, having increased in 2016 by more than 2 percentage points in most counties.

Statistics Estonia’s call to notify of double data collection elicited 54 proposals. Complete or partial re-requesting for data was identified in the case of four questionnaires.

Statistics Estonia carried out the survey of Intrastat data providers in October 2014 to measure the administrative burden caused by Intrastat and the satisfaction of data providers. The obtained data and collected feedback will be used in the development and simplification of the Intrastat report. Statistics Estonia expresses its gratitude to all the data providers who participated in the survey! The questionnaire was filled in by 1,091 respondents. Today, on 26 January, in Tallinn, Statistics Estonia holds a seminar on the gender pay gap. The seminar, called “Lahkame lõhet”, presents the results of the pay gap surveys carried out and discusses the gender pay gap both on the global scale and in terms of the situation in Estonia.
