According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2022, Estonia’s exports of goods increased by 35% and imports by 31% compared to March 2021. Compared to the first quarter of last year, exports grew by 30% and imports by 34%. In March and in the first quarter as a whole, trade was primarily boosted by the increased exports and imports of mineral fuels and electricity.
Increased imports led to a higher trade deficit in April

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2022, Estonia’s exports of goods increased by 4% and imports by 31% compared to April 2021. Faster growth in imports contributed significantly to the increase of trade deficit, which reached 542 million euros in April.
The Agricultural Census survey begins today

According to Statistics Estonia, starting today, 15 September, interviewers from Statistics Estonia will begin visiting households included on the census list for the Agricultural Census. Interviews will take place with households belonging to private persons that did not take part in the 1-10 September e-Census.
The growth in retail sales accelerated to some extent in June

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2014 compared to June of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 7% at constant prices. While in May retail sales increased 4% compared to the same month of the previous year, then in June the retail sales growth accelerated to some extent.
