According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2021, the total production value of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad increased by 17% year on year. Considering only the Estonian construction market, the growth in construction volume was 18%.

86% of Estonian people are willing to review and update their personal information in the population register and in the register of buildings before the population census begins at the end of this year. Still, only 16% of the population, on average, have logged into these registers over the last year, as revealed by the survey carried out by Kantar Emor.

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2022, Estonia’s exports of goods increased by 26% and imports by 24% compared with June 2021. Compared with the second quarter of last year, exports grew by 21% and imports by 30%. According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2023, Estonia’s exports and imports of goods decreased by 15% and 12%, respectively, compared with March 2022. In the first quarter as a whole, both exports and imports of goods fell by 8%.

Today, Statistics Estonia presented at a press conference a comparative survey of household and place of residence data. The survey, taking place from May until October, is conducted to test the quality of the methodology of the register-based population and housing census. 30,000 persons will be surveyed.

In both Latvia and Lithuania, life expectancy has increased by about nine years in the same 30-year period.
