According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2010, the estimated number of unemployed persons was 128,000 and the unemployment rate 18.6%. Unemployment decreased for the first time after a continuous growth of nearly two years.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2016, exports of goods decreased by 3% and imports by 1% compared to March of the previous year. In the 1st quarter exports decreased 2% and imports increased 1%.
According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2018, the exports and imports of goods both increased by 11% compared to September 2017. The growth in trade was affected the most by an increase in trade in mineral products (fuel additives, motor spirit).
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2012, 2.8 million domestic and foreign tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments, which is 4% more than the year earlier. Compared to 2011, the number of foreign tourists increased by 4% and the number of domestic tourists by 5%.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2012, the number of unemployed persons decreased to 68,000 and the unemployment rate to 9.7%. Over one third of the unemployed have been unemployed for two years or more.

In the first half-year, compared to the same period of the previous year, the exports of goods increased by 10% and imports by 8%.
Statistics Estonia has announced a competition for engaging 15 district heads of the Census districts for the 2011 Population and Housing Census, which will start at the end of the year. District centres in nine cities all over Estonia will commence work in August; the deadline of applying for the post is 5 June.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2020, compared to April 2019, the exports of goods decreased by 17% and imports by 22%. The greater decrease in imports offset the balance of trade.
