In the first week of December, Statistics Estonia launched the Time Use Survey. The survey takes place every ten years and will end in 2021. Information is collected about how and where people over the age of 10 spend their time and what modes of transport they use.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, the construction price index increased by 8.3% compared to the average of 2020. In the fourth quarter of last year, the construction price index rose by 3.0% compared to the third quarter, while the index growth compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 reached a record high – 14.7%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2023, the unemployment rate was 6.7%, the employment rate was 69.2%, and the labour force participation rate was 74.2%.

The training sessions take place virtually in Microsoft Teams, at Statistics Estonia or at client location. You can place an order for a training session, if there are at least ten participants.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the last quarter of 2020, there were 8,707 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. The number decreased by 16% year on year. More than 7,000 persons left their jobs on the employer’s initiative.

This week, a high-level delegation from the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) in the United Arab Emirates is visiting Estonia and Statistics Estonia. The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen the collaboration in the field of statistics to develop and improve activities related to data-based policy making intended to fulfill the national strategic goals.
