According to Statistics Estonia, 1.9 million foreign tourists and over a million domestic tourists used the services of accommodation establishments in 2013. The total number of tourists increased 5% compared to 2012.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2011 compared to March of the previous year the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 5% at constant prices.
According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2014, exports of goods decreased by 1% and imports by 3% at current prices compared to November 2013. The decrease in exports was mostly influenced by the reduced exports of agricultural products and food preparations and mechanical appliances to Russia.
According to Statistics Estonia, the most popular film in Estonian cinemas in 2016 was the Estonian comedy “Class Reunion”. In the cinema attendance rankings since the restoration of independence, “Class Reunion” came second after James Cameron’s “Avatar”.
Statistics Estonia gave Eesti Energia AS the title of Best Respondent, the Ministry of the Interior the title of Statistics-Friendly Database Partner and Tõnu Kollo from the University of Tartu the title of Statistics-Friendly Research Partner of 2016.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2016, 212,400 domestic and foreign tourists stayed in accommodation establishments, which was 13% more than in March 2015. The number of both domestic and foreign tourists increased.
Until Sunday, 25 March, all those people who have not participated in the census and have not been contacted by an enumerator yet can notify Statistics Estonia and have an enumerator sent to their place of residence.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2013 compared to April of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 5% at constant prices. When in March the retail sales increased 7% compared to the same month of the previous year, then in April the retail sales growth slightly decelerated.
Until Sunday 25 March (inclusive), all those people who have not participated in the census and have not been contacted by an enumerator yet can notify Statistics Estonia and have an enumerator sent to their place of residence. By Friday, more than 1,000 people had notified Statistics Estonia.
According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2016, exports of goods increased by 7% and imports by 5% compared to February of the previous year. One-third of the exports growth was due to an increase in the exports of goods of Estonian origin.
