According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2018, the production of industrial enterprises increased by 3% compared to May 2017. Production increased in manufacturing and in mining, but decreased substantially in energy.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2008, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 12,912 kroons and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 77.52 kroons. Compared to 2007, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased by 13.9% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries by 15.3%.

Today, on 26 January, in Tallinn, Statistics Estonia holds a seminar on the gender pay gap. The seminar, called “Lahkame lõhet”, presents the results of the pay gap surveys carried out and discusses the gender pay gap both on the global scale and in terms of the situation in Estonia.
According to Statistics Estonia, there were nearly 12,000 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 2nd quarter of 2017. This is the highest number of job vacancies in the past nine years.
According to flash estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 3.4% in the 3rd quarter of 2012 compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
