According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2014, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -0.1% compared to July 2014 and by -1.0% compared to August 2013.

Today, on 1 August, Statistics Estonia launches the Foreign Visitors Survey at the border crossing points of Estonia. The survey will be held until the middle of September and aims to determine the expenditures incurred by foreign visitors in Estonia, their travel motivation and behaviour, and satisfaction.
The new Statistical Council held its first meeting today, on 6 February, and elected Professor Tõnu Kollo from the Institute of Mathematical Statistics of the University of Tartu as the chairman of the Council for the next four years.
