According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2017, the production of industrial enterprises increased 9% compared to February of the previous year. Production increased in the energy sector, mining and quarrying and manufacturing.

Employment and labour force participation remained high throughout 2017, reaching the highest levels in 20 years. The number of inactive persons continued to decline.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, the cereal production was 993,800 tons in 2012. Despite the smaller production than expected, it increased by almost a third compared to the previous year.
