According to revised data of Statistics Estonia, in 2011 the Estonian general government sector surplus was 1.1% and gross debt level was 6.1% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The central government budget reached the surplus again after three successive years of deficit.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2012 the Dwelling Price Index changed by 3.3 % compared to the 1st quarter and by 7.7% compared to the 2nd quarter of the previous year.

Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the number of job vacancies has been increasing since the 2nd quarter of 2010, after the decline in 2008 and 2009.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2012, the net sales, costs and total profit of the business sector increased compared to the previous quarter as well as to the same quarter of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2012, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 7% compared to the same month of the previous year. The main reason for the decline was the decrease in energy and mining production.
