Today, on 26 January, in Tallinn, Statistics Estonia holds a seminar on the gender pay gap. The seminar, called “Lahkame lõhet”, presents the results of the pay gap surveys carried out and discusses the gender pay gap both on the global scale and in terms of the situation in Estonia.
According to Statistics Estonia, by flash estimates, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 6.6% in the 4th quarter of 2010 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. In 2010, the annual GDP grew by 3.1% compared to the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2010 compared to June of the previous year, exports of goods grew by 7% and imports by 23% at current prices. Due to a bigger growth in imports compared to exports, the trade deficit increased.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2014 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries decreased 3%. In Estonia construction activities decreased 2%, and the construction volumes of Estonian enterprises in foreign countries decreased by nearly a fifth.
According to Statistics Estonia, 271,100 domestic and foreign tourists stayed in the accommodation establishments of Estonia in October 2017, which is 1% more than in October 2016.
According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in April 2009 exports of goods from Estonia amounted to 7.7 billion kroons at current prices and imports to Estonia 9.5 billion kroons. Compared to April of the previous year, both exports and imports decreased about 40%.
According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2012 compared to November of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 6% at constant prices. The increase in sales was mostly influenced by grocery stores, where the retail sales increased 5%.
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2015 compared to June of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 10% at constant prices. Retail sales increased 6% in April and 8% in May compared to the same month of the previous year, whereas in June the retail sales growth accelerated even more.
