Lauri Veski, the Consumer Price Statistics Service Manager at Statistics Estonia, explained that the year-on-year comparison again shows a relatively small rise in prices. “The last time the annual price increase was this small was in April 2021. Johanna Linda Pihlak, analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that while turnover volume in June increased by 5% year on year, growth slowed down to 1% in July. “Year on year, turnover volume grew by 10% in enterprises engaged in the retail sale of automotive fuel and by 3% in stores selling manufactured goods. The turnover volume of grocery stores continued to decline in July, falling by 5% compared with July 2024,” Pihlak added. The total production value of Estonian construction enterprises in 2025 was 4 billion euros, including 2.5 billion euros’ worth of building construction and 1.5 billion euros’ worth of civil engineering. Robert Müürsepp, team lead of national accounts at Statistics Estonia, said that the improvement in Estonian economy continued in the first quarter of 2025. “Compared with the first quarter of 2024, the GDP increased by 1.2%.
