The preparation of analytical output using anonymous data from electronic communications, with the purpose to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), which was assigned to Statistics Estonia by the order of the crisis commission of the Government of the Republic, will not be based on real-time data. There is no plan and it is not possible to use the data to analyse the movement of individuals.

According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2020, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 667 million euros. Compared to August 2019, turnover increased by 4% at constant prices.

This year, for the first time, Statistics Estonia distributed the deadlines of the EKOMAR questionnaire over a longer period and, depending on the economic activity of the enterprise, the deadline fell in the period of 1–8 July. Out of the 8,000 enterprises that were to submit the questionnaire, 44% submitted EKOMAR in time.

According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2021, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 618 million euros. Compared to January 2020, turnover increased by 7% at constant prices.
In November, the producer price index increased by 1%

In November 2020, the producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for exports, increased by 1.0% compared to October and decreased by 0.9% compared to November 2019.

According to Statistics Estonia, on 1 January 2022, the population of Estonia was 1,331,796, which is 1,728 persons more than at the same time a year ago. In 2021, there were 13,272 births and 18,587 deaths in Estonia. Based on migration data, 19,524 persons immigrated to Estonia and 12,481 persons emigrated from Estonia.
The stable decrease in industrial production continues

According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2009 compared to September of the previous year, the production of industrial enterprises decreased 30%. Since February the decrease in production has been within the limits of 30% compared to the same month of the previous year.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in the fourth quarter of 2021, the gross domestic product (GDP), which shows how the Estonian economy is doing, grew by 8.6% compared to the same period of 2020. The GDP at current prices was 8.7 billion euros.
