Today, on 27 July, Statistics Estonia presents the publication “Eesti statistika aastaraamat 2016. Statistical Yearbook of Estonia”, which provides a statistical overview of life in Estonia and comparisons with other European Union countries.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2014 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries decreased 8%. The construction volumes have decreased for four quarters in a row.

At the same time, this decade has seen an increase in the terrorist attack risk and the economic crisis of recent years has had a significant influence on people's travel behaviour and on accommodation establishments.

According to preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, the production of milk amounted to 721,400 tons in 2012, which is 4% more than a year earlier. The number of dairy cows did not change compared to the previous year, but milk production per cow kept increasing.
