According to Statistics Estonia, in August, the consumer price index increased by 2.3% compared with July, and by 24.8% compared with August 2021. Goods were 18.3% and services 37.6% more expensive than in August last year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2022, life expectancy at birth was 78.1 years in Estonia. Male life expectancy was 73.6 years and female life expectancy was 82.3 years. Men live disability-free for 57.9 years and women for 60.6 years.

According to Statistics Estonia, in October, the production of industrial enterprises increased by 1% compared to October 2019. In the three main industrial sectors, production fell by 4% in energy production and by 6% in mining, but increased by 2% in manufacturing.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2021, there were 10,542 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. The number increased by 30% year on year. More than 12,000 persons left their jobs on the employer’s initiative.

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2021, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 656 million euros. Compared to April 2020, turnover increased by 23% at constant prices – the increase was mainly the result of both trade enterprises and consumers adjusting to the restrictions related to the coronavirus crisis.
