Due to the requirements of the Integrated European Social Statistics (IESS) regulation, as of 2021, the Estonian Labour Force Survey is based on a new methodology. The main goal of the changes is to improve data quality. Statistics Estonia will publish the data of the 1st quarter of 2021, calculated according to the new methodology, in its database on 17 May.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2010 compared to the same period of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries increased 1.2%. The decline on construction market, which had lasted for two and half years compared to the same quarter of the previous year turned to a rise again in the 3rd quarter this year.

In October, the trade deficit was 323 million euros, which is 8 million euros less than in October last year. According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2024, exports of goods decreased by 11% and imports by 13% compared with January 2023. Exports of goods amounted to about 1.4 billion and imports to 1.5 billion euros at current prices. The trade deficit was 122 million euros, which is 60 million euros less than in January last year.
