The Farm Structure Survey (FSS) is conducted in Estonia from the beginning of September until 15 November. The results of the FSS, which is carried out in all European Union countries, serve as input for the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union.

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2022, Estonia’s exports of goods increased by 35% and imports by 31% compared to March 2021. Compared to the first quarter of last year, exports grew by 30% and imports by 34%. According to Statistics Estonia, in 2022, Estonian accommodation establishments served over 3 million tourists, which is 52% more than in 2021. There was a rise in the number of both foreign* and domestic tourists.

Jane Leppmets, foreign trade analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that, in July, exports of goods grew primarily due to re-exports, i.e., the re-exports of previously imported goods increased by 26%. “The re-exports of mineral products (incl. natural gas) and transport equipment rose the most,” the analyst added.
