According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2015, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -0.1% compared to April 2015 and by -2.1% compared to May 2014.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 12,716 kroons and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 77.16 kroons. Compared to the 2nd quarter of the previous year, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 4.4% lower and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 1.4% lower.
Statistics Estonia has organised public procurement under the simplified procedure for engaging the recruiter of the employees related to the Population and Housing Census. The provider of recruitment service has to find 2,422 persons as total to conduct the Census.
Statistics Estonia finished the last Pilot Census of the 2011 Population and Housing Census, where during 11 days the conduct of the whole Census was tested. Over 300 employees of Statistics Estonia and volunteers participated in the test.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2018, the production of industrial enterprises increased by 2% compared to April 2017. Production increased in manufacturing and in energy, but decreased in mining.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2018, compared to April of the previous year, the turnover of retail trade enterprises increased by 1% at constant prices. In April, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 560.4 million euros.
According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the construction price index in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was 0.9% compared to the previous quarter and 1.7% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2016.
According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2013, exports of goods decreased by 8% and imports by 2% at current prices compared to September of the previous year. Exports and imports have declined for four successive months, compared to the same month of the previous year. During the nine months of 2013, exports declined by 1% compared to the same period of 2012.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 11,770 kroons and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 71.76 kroons. Compared to the 3rd quarter of the previous year, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 5.9% lower and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 5.8% lower. The average monthly gross wages and salaries has been decreasing for three quarters running compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2018, the unemployment rate was 5.2%, the employment rate was 68.2% and the labour force participation rate was 72%. The unemployment rate remained low and is similar to that of economic boom years. The employment rate and the labour force participation are even higher than during the boom years. Employment of older persons is at a record high.
