According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2016 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased 3%. If only the Estonian construction market is taken into account, the construction volumes increased 5%.

According to Statistics Estonia, unemployed persons numbered 59,000 and the unemployment rate was 8.7% in the 4th quarter of 2013. Although the annual average unemployment rate was lower than in 2012, the decline of unemployment has slowed down.

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2016, the production of industrial enterprises increased 1% compared to April of the previous year. Production increased in the energy sector and manufacturing, but decreased in mining and quarrying.
Construction price index slightly increased at the beginning of the year

According to Statistics Estonia, the percentage change of the construction price index was 1.5% in the 1st quarter of 2011 compared to the 1st quarter of the previous year. The index increased for the second quarter in succession in the year-on-year comparison.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2017 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased 18%. Taking into account only the Estonian construction market, the construction volumes increased 25%.

Jane Leppmets, foreign trade analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the upward trend in foreign trade, which started in the second half of 2024, continued in January this year. “In intra-EU trade, exports were up by 11% and imports by 9%. In extra-EU trade, the rise was 19% in exports and as much as 57% in imports. According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2023, Estonia’s exports of goods amounted to 1.5 billion and imports to 1.7 billion euros. Compared with November 2022, exports of goods decreased by 12% and imports by 19% at current prices. The trade deficit in November was 200 million euros, which is 198 million euros less than a year earlier.
Enterprises can now compare themselves in eSTAT

Statistics Estonia’s data submission environment eSTAT now allows respondent enterprises to compare their wages, profit and turnover with indicators of the same economic activity and Estonian averages. eSTAT displays personalised statistics currently to nearly 20,000 enterprises.
