Today, on 11 January, Statistics Estonia presents its new publication Social Trends, which examines the coping, quality of life and well-being of households.
According to Statistics Estonia, there were 19,200 agricultural holdings in Estonia on the basis of the preliminary results of the 2013 Farm Structure Survey. Compared to the 2010 Agricultural Census, their number has decreased by a few hundred.
At the beginning of September, foreign experts will visit Statistics Estonia to evaluate compliance with the quality requirements of the European Union statistical office Eurostat and the European Statistics Code of Practice.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2011, the net sales, costs and total profit of the business sector increased compared to the previous quarter as well as to the same quarter of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, on the basis of the final results of the 2010 Agricultural Census the concentration of production into large holdings as well as high percentage of rented land characterises the agriculture of Estonia. Due to the still high percentage of small holdings, the number of persons involved in agriculture is near to 60,000.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2018, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,242 euros, having increased by 7.7% compared to the 1st quarter of 2017. The year-on-year growth in average monthly gross wages and salaries was 0.2 percentage points higher than in the previous quarter.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2017 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased 18%. Taking into account only the Estonian construction market, the construction volumes increased 25%.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2012, exports of goods from Estonia decreased by 7% and imports to Estonia by 4% at current prices compared to April of the previous year. Compared to the same month of the previous year, exports decreased already for the second month in succession, which is also influenced by the high comparison basis last year. Trade decreased also compared to March.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2018, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,321 euros, having increased by 6.4% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2017. The year-on-year growth in average monthly gross wages and salaries was 1.3 percentage points slower than in the previous quarter.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2010 the exports of goods at current prices increased 35% and imports 27% compared to 2009. In the last months of the year the growth in the trade accelerated as dispatches and arrivals of machinery and equipment increased the most.
