Keyboard-only navigation
This website allows visitors to navigate using only the keyboard. Navigation works by pressing the Tab key repeatedly. Each keypress brings the focus to a next element. The currently active element is indicated by a box around it. To activate the link in focus, press the Enter key on your keyboard.
The first link that becomes active when navigating in this way is hidden by default and is meant specifically for keyboard-only users. The “Skip to main content” link skips the header and the left-hand panel and takes the user directly to the main content of the page.
Zooming in and out
Browsers
To zoom in, we recommend using your web browser's built-in feature.
All popular web browsers allow zooming in and out on a page by holding down the Ctrl key (Cmd key in the OS X operating system) while pressing the + or - key. Another handy option is to use the mouse: hold down the Ctrl key while moving the scroll wheel. To return to normal size, press the Ctrl and 0 keys at the same time.
Specific programs in the operating system
In all of the most common operating systems, there is an option in the settings to zoom in on the content displayed on the screen.
In Windows 7, there is a program called Magnifier, which can be found by clicking on the Start button on the bottom left, typing "Magnifier" (the first few letters will do) and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. A small overlay window will appear showing everything in magnified view. By default, the program follows the mouse pointer.
In Windows XP, you can find Magnifier by navigating to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > Magnifier.
On Apple computers, to zoom in, navigate to Apple menu > System Preferences > Accessibility (or Universal Access) > Zoom.
Browser extensions
For web browsers, there are extensions available that enable you to zoom in, adding to the existing functionality of the browser, such as Zoom Page WE for Firefox.
