According to Statistics Estonia, the producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, rose by 2.0% in January 2024 compared with December 2023 and fell by 1.5% compared with January last year.

The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, fell by 0.1% in November 2023 compared with October and by 3.3% compared with November last year, according to Statistics Estonia.

According to Statistics Estonia, 2.2% of the population of Estonia lived in absolute poverty and 20.6% lived at risk of poverty in 2020. Compared to 2019, both the share of people who lived at risk of poverty and who lived in absolute poverty fell by 0.1 percentage points.

Lauri Veski, team lead of consumer price statistics at Statistics Estonia, said that, compared with October 2023, the consumer price index was affected the most by price changes related to food and non-alcoholic beverages, recreation, and phone services. “Among food products, the higher prices of non-alcoholic beverages (+20.4%), fruits (+12.4%) and vegetables (+5.5%) drove up the index the most compared with October last year. Statistics Estonia's short-term labour market statistics show that over the past year and a half, there have been fewer young people aged 20–29 working in both the broader information and communication sector and the more specific field of computer programming. While in previous years the field of computer programming was growing mainly because of young people, in the past year their numbers have fallen.
