According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2023, exports and imports of goods at current prices decreased by 9% and 1% respectively, compared with the same month in 2022. Estonia’s exports of goods amounted to 1.5 billion and imports to 1.8 billion euros at current prices. The trade deficit was 272 million euros, up by 127 million euros from a year earlier.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2018, the total profit of the business sector was 726 million euros, which is 12% less than in the same period the year before.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2020, fish farming enterprises sold 1,039 tonnes of commercial fish and crayfish, for a total of more than 4 million euros. The biggest increase occurred for fish roe placed on the market, with record sales registered.
According to Statistics Estonia, the average monthly gross wages and salaries in the second quarter of 2023 were 1,873 euros, which is 12.4% higher than in the same quarter last year. The median wages were 1,524 euros in the second quarter this year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in June, Estonia’s exports of goods amounted to 1.6 billion and imports to 1.9 billion euros. Compared with June 2022, exports of goods decreased by 14% and imports by 13% at current prices. The trade deficit in June was 271 million euros, which is 33 million euros less than in the same month last year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2019, the average monthly gross wages and salaries of Estonian enterprises, institutions and organisations were 1,407 euros, i.e. 7.4% higher than in 2018. The average monthly gross wages and salaries were higher in the second and fourth quarters.
According to Statistics Estonia, exports of goods increased by 17% and imports by 23% in 2022 compared with 2021. In December 2022, both exports as well as imports remained at the level of 2021.
According to Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 3.2% at constant prices in the first quarter of 2023 compared with the same quarter a year earlier. The GDP at current prices amounted to 8.7 billion euros.
The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, decreased by 0.2% in February 2023 compared with January 2023 and increased by 11.6% compared with February 2022.
