According to Statistics Estonia, in the third quarter of 2023, the dwelling price index decreased by 0.3% compared with the second quarter and increased by 3.8% compared with the third quarter of 2022.

In the third quarter of 2023, the gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 3.9% compared with the same quarter of 2022. The GDP at current prices amounted to 9.4 billion euros.

The earnings application, first published more than a year ago, was upgraded by Statistics Estonia together with the Commissioner for Equal Opportunities, University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology and the Social Insurance Board. Ülo Paulus, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, pointed out that in the third quarter of this year, compared with the same period in 2023, the construction price index was primarily influenced by a 6.4% increase in wages of workers. “On the other hand, the index was also affected by a 1% decrease in the price of building materials.
