Statistics Estonia has revised the entire time series of gross domestic product (GDP) starting from 1995. During the revision, updated basic data sources were incorporated and methodological improvements were made.

Lauri Veski, team lead of consumer price statistics at Statistics Estonia, said that, compared with October 2023, the consumer price index was affected the most by price changes related to food and non-alcoholic beverages, recreation, and phone services. “Among food products, the higher prices of non-alcoholic beverages (+20.4%), fruits (+12.4%) and vegetables (+5.5%) drove up the index the most compared with October last year. According to Statistics Estonia, in October, Estonia’s exports of goods amounted to 1.5 billion and imports to 1.8 billion euros. Compared with October 2022, exports of goods decreased by 21% and imports by 17% at current prices.
