Helle Bunder, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that, in November, the volume of industrial production increased in more than half of the manufacturing activities. “Looking at the larger industries, output increased in the manufacture of food products (7.8%), fabricated metal products (5.8%) and electrical equipment (20%) and, to a smaller degree, also in the manufacture of computers and electronic products (0.9%),” noted Bunder. She added that, among the major industries, there was a decrease in output in the manufacture of wood (3.4%) and motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers

Johanna Linda Pihlak, analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the biggest increase was registered in enterprises engaged in the retail sale of automotive fuel, where turnover volume increased by 14% last year. “The volume of turnover was up by 4% in stores selling manufactured goods but decreased by 4% in grocery stores,” added Pihlak. Johanna Linda Pihlak, analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the rise in retail trade volume in June was influenced by stores selling manufactured goods and by enterprises engaged in the retail sale of automotive fuel – the turnover volume of each was up by 12% year on year. “However, the turnover volume of grocery stores continued to decline, falling by 4% compared with June last year,” Pihlak added. Among stores selling manufactured goods, the biggest increase at 22% was registered in the turnover volume of other specialised stores selling predominantly computers and their accessories
