HICP flash estimate: prices down by 0.5% in November

According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in November 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, decreased by 0.5% compared with October. Compared with November last year, the HICP rose by 4.7%. This is a flash estimate, which will be refined once more detailed data on November prices are received.

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2014 compared to June of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 7% at constant prices. While in May retail sales increased 4% compared to the same month of the previous year, then in June the retail sales growth accelerated to some extent.

In June, the increase in industrial production continued

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2014, the production of industrial enterprises rose 1% compared to June of the previous year. The production increased in manufacturing and energy, while in mining the production decreased.

The producer price index of industrial output decreased in June

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2014, the producer price index of industrial output changed by –0.2% compared to May 2014 and by –3.1% compared to June 2013.

The construction price index continued to fall in the 2nd quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, the percentage change of the construction price index in the 2nd quarter of 2014 was –0.7% compared to the 1st quarter of 2014 and 0.8% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2013.

In May more tourists stayed in accommodation establishments than a year ago

According to Statistics Estonia, 274,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments in May. There were 2% more foreign tourists and 9% more domestic tourists than in the same month of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2014, exports of goods decreased by 9% and imports by 4% at current prices compared to May of the previous year. The decrease in exports and imports was mostly influenced by a fall in the trade of electrical equipment and mechanical appliances.

In June the annual change of the consumer price index was influenced the most by electricity

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in June 2014 was 0.0% compared to May 2014 and –0.4% compared to June of the previous year.

In April retail sales increased 8% compared to the same month of the previous year, while in May the retail sales growth decelerated.
