Statistics Estonia's short-term labour market statistics show that over the past year and a half, there have been fewer young people aged 20–29 working in both the broader information and communication sector and the more specific field of computer programming. While in previous years the field of computer programming was growing mainly because of young people, in the past year their numbers have fallen.

Ülo Paulus, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, pointed out that in the third quarter of this year, compared with the same period in 2023, the construction price index was primarily influenced by a 6.4% increase in wages of workers. “On the other hand, the index was also affected by a 1% decrease in the price of building materials. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2020, the gross domestic product (GDP) fell by 0.7% compared to the 1st quarter of 2019. The GDP at current prices was 6.5 billion euros.
