According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2023, Estonia’s exports and imports of goods decreased by 15% and 12%, respectively, compared with March 2022. In the first quarter as a whole, both exports and imports of goods fell by 8%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2017, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,242 euros, and increased 6.8% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2016. According to Statistics Estonia, there were more than 8,100 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 2nd quarter of 2012 – this is 29% more than in the same period last year. Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the number of job vacancies has been increasing since the 2nd quarter of 2010, after the decline in 2008 and 2009.

Compared with the previous census, there are fewer families, but the number of people living in them has risen. 154,625 families (or 45%) are raising minor children and 16% of the population lives alone.

777 tonnes of pesticides by active substance were placed on the market in Estonia in 2022, which is a sixth less than in 2021 and less than in 2020 as well. The majority of pesticides sold were again herbicides.

According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2018, the producer price index of industrial output changed by –0.9% compared to October and by 1.6% compared to November 2017.
