Posted on 29 September 2023, 14:39

Next year's calendar, where policymakers, journalists, and other data enthusiasts can find information on new additions to the database as well as the publication of news, will be available on Statistics Estonia’s website from 29 September.

As a producer of official statistics, Statistics Estonia reflects the situation of and changes in the Estonian society and provides the society with information relevant to the demographic, social, economic, and environmental development. Examples include the consumer price index, gross domestic product (GDP), and employment indicators.

The release calendar on Statistics Estonia's website gives an overview of when the main indicators characterising life in Estonia will be updated in the database. According to the Official Statistics Act, the updated data will be made available to all users at the same time: at 8 a.m. on the date indicated in the calendar. Official statistics may not be disseminated prior to the due date indicated in the release calendar.

To view the publications in the calendar, the desired period, i.e. both the start and end dates, must be specified. The view can be narrowed down according to the theme and category of publication: data publication, main indicator updates, news, etc. Regular press releases can be found in the calendar under the news category.

In addition to the publications marked in the calendar, it is also worth keeping an eye on Statistics Estonia’s news and blog posts in the news section of the website and joining the newsletter (only available in Estonian). On social media, you can stay up to date with news and exciting facts from Statistics Estonia on FacebookInstagramTwitter, and LinkedIn.
