Which skills should be acquired to remain competitive on the labour market and to prepare for the future? These questions are answered by the Continuing Vocational Training Survey conducted by Statistics Estonia.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2020, compared to March 2019, the exports of goods decreased by 1% and imports by 2%. Compared to the first quarter of 2019, exports declined by 3% and imports by 4%. In the first quarter, trade decreased mostly due to declined exports and imports of electrical equipment and mineral products.
According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2019, compared to July 2018, the exports of goods decreased by 2% and imports increased by 5%. The share of goods of Estonian origin was the lowest in recent years—66% of total exports.
According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2018, the exports of goods increased by 18% and imports by 15% compared to November 2017. The trade deficit was 56 million euros. The last time the balance was under 60 million euros was in January 2015.
According to Statistics Estonia, 250,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments in April 2023, which is 6% more than in April last year. The number of foreign tourists increased, but there were fewer domestic tourists.

The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, fell by 0.1% in November 2023 compared with October and by 3.3% compared with November last year, according to Statistics Estonia.
According to Statistics Estonia, nearly 226,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments in March 2023, which is 18% more than in March last year. The average cost of an overnight stay increased by 15% year on year.
According to Statistics Estonia, more than 481,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments in July 2023, up by 1% from the same month a year earlier and 43% more than in June 2023. Compared with July last year, accommodation establishments hosted more foreign tourists and fewer domestic tourists.
