According to Statistics Estonia, in February, the consumer price index rose by 0.9% compared to January and by 0.6% compared to February 2020. Goods were 0.6% cheaper and services 2.7% more expensive than in February last year.

This year, the Albert Pullerits young statistician’s grant was awarded to Papuna Gogoladze for the master’s thesis defended at the School of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Tartu. The aim of the grant is to motivate young people to apply and develop statistical methods.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2019, the labour force participation rate was 70.8%, the employment rate 67.5% and the unemployment rate 4.7%. People working under employment contracts, the Civil Service Act*, and service contracts are included.

According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 3.5% in the 3rd quarter of 2012 compared to the same quarter in the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2021, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 779 million euros. Compared to July 2020, turnover increased by 10% at constant prices.
