According to Statistics Estonia, in 2013, the average monthly gross income per employee was 900 euros. Compared to 2012, the average gross income increased in all counties.

Statistics Estonia has announced a competition for engaging 15 district heads of the Census districts for the 2011 Population and Housing Census, which will start at the end of the year. District centres in nine cities all over Estonia will commence work in August; the deadline of applying for the post is 5 June.
Food prices had the biggest impact on the consumer price index in October

According to Statistics Estonia, in October, the consumer price index fell by 0.4% compared with September and rose by 4.9% compared with October 2022. Goods were 3.7% and services 7.0% more expensive than in October last year.

Registration for the European Statistics Competition is now open

The European Statistics Competition 2020, organised by the European statistical office Eurostat, takes place in 17 countries. Basic school, secondary school and vocational school students are invited to participate. The best teams in Estonia are awarded and will have the opportunity to participate in the international phase of the competition.
Estonia’s representatives at the European Statistics Competition will be determined in a public choice competition

As of today, 1 July, a public choice competition is open, determining who will represent Estonia in the younger age group at the European Statistics Competition. The competition was interrupted during the emergency situation but is now continued.

About the Statistical Council According to the Official Statistics Act, the Statistical Council is formed by an order of the Estonian Government.
