Sales of crayfish and fish roe grew the most last year
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2020, fish farming enterprises sold 1,039 tonnes of commercial fish and crayfish, for a total of more than 4 million euros. The biggest increase occurred for fish roe placed on the market, with record sales registered.

Estonian residents have started to consume more domestic meat
According to Statistics Estonia, 79% of the meat consumed in Estonia in 2020 was locally produced. This is the highest percentage in the last five years. In the case of beef, the situation is favourable, but not so in the case of poultry meat.

According to the data of the 2020 Agricultural Census conducted by Statistics Estonia, agriculture in Estonia is characterised by concentration in enterprise groups, working part-time and having other gainful activities.
